Some Sayings of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.)
Wisdom From the Shaykh of Shaykhs - Group 7

73.) Die before you die.

74.) The one who knows one's soul, knows one's Lord.

75.) There is no peace for a believer other than in meeting one's Lord.

76.) If the believer's fear and hope were to be weighed, they would balance.

77.) "Shall I tell you about your illnesses and its remedy?" They replied: "Indeed, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Your illness is your sins, and your remedy is repentance."

78.) Free yourselves as much as possible, from your worldly concerns.

79.) The Prophet said: Do not attend the circle of a learned person unless that individual asks you to give up five things in favour of accepting five other things:

- doubt in favour of belief;

- hypocrisy in favour of sincerity;

- worldliness in favour of asceticism;

- pride in favour of humility;

- enmity in favour of love.

80.) The inability to weep is caused by hardness of heart; hardness of heart is caused by multiplicity of sins; multiplicity of sins is caused by forgetfulness of death; forgetfulness of death is caused by ambitious expectations; ambitious expectations are caused by excessive love of the life of this world.

81.) The Prophet said: "Verily, Satan may bait you with knowledge." When asked how would that be, the Prophet replied that Satan would say to you: `Seek ye knowledge and do nothing until ye master it.' Then people will continue to seek knowledge and defer action until they finally die, having done nothing.

82.) Prayer is only acceptable to Allah when the heart is aware.

83.) All people are doomed to perish except those of action, and all people of action will perish except for the sincere, and the sincere are at great risk.

84.) I have been given all the Names and have been sent to perfect good behaviour.
