Wisdom From the Shaykh of Shaykhs - Group 4
37.)
Muslims are brothers and sisters in religion, and they must not oppress one another, nor
abandon assisting each other, nor hold one another in contempt. The seat of righteousness
is the heart; therefore, that heart which is righteous, does not hold a Muslim in
contempt.
38.) If
someone treats you with nafs (the lower soul), treat them with ruh (spirit).
39.)
Whoever knows Allah curbs one's tongue from speaking about Allah, since this kind of
knowledge cannot be contained in speech.
40.) When
Ramadan begins: the garden is opened; the gates of the Fire are closed; Shaytan is
bound in chains; and, a caller calls: "Come forward, o you who desire good, and
retreat o you who desire evil."
41.) No
person will be learned unless one puts one's knowledge into practice.
42.) True
belief is when I and Allah become dearest to one.
43.)
Everything lives and develops in accordance with that for which it has been created.
44.) I was
a Prophet when Adam (peace be upon him) was between water and clay.
45.) Islam
is built on cleanliness.
46.)
"There is no one among you on whom is not a devil." the companions asked:
"O Messenger of Allah, does one reside in you?" The Prophet said: "There is
a devil in me, but Allah helped me to overcome it, and it has become submissive to me. It
does not order me to do anything but good."
47.) Allah
does not look at your forms and possessions, rather Allah looks at your hearts and deeds.
48.) There
is a piece of flesh in the body, if that is good, the whole body is good, and if it is
corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. This is the heart.
