If you own a Mac -- and unless you are running some version of: Bootcamp, Parallels, or Fusion -- you needn't bother with what appears below because the program in question only works with PC hardware. The free Qur'an, which can be downloaded through the link provided a little further down this page, contains audio for both Arabic recitation and English translation -- at least, to some extent. This is a work in progress, and right now, there are about 63 surahs of the Qur'an that contain an audio portion that accompanies the written English translation for the e-book edition of the Qur'an. I am in the process of looking for a server that is relatively cheap and permits unlimited bandwidth so that I can add the extra audio without running into additional monetary charges for going over my bandwidth limit for my web site in relation to downloads of the Qur'an. God willing, some time during the next several months this arrangement should be finalized.
