The following is a presentation given By Dr. Bill (Anab) Whitehouse in April of 2007 at Fordham University in Manhattan, New York. The occassion was an interfaith conference focusing on Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) and the spiritual traditions which arose through and after him. The conference was sponsored and organized by the Sufi Circle of Long Island under the stewardship of Dr. Ned Gandevani. The videographer for the entire conference was Frank 'Abdul Majid' Vriale. The talk is on the lessons of Babel in the light of a peace quest with respect to a troubled and troubling world.
The video runs a few minutes over thirty minutes. People with different modes of internet service providers -- meaning, among other things, different speeds of downloading and caching streaming video -- may, or may not, experience some viewing problems with the video below. If you do experience such problems, these usually will be at the beginning, and the best thing to do may be to let the material download for a few minutes before you start to watch the video.
Sometimes, as well, the speed at which the video streams may catch up with the downloading process and, if so, the video is likely to stall or stutter its way along to some extent. If this happens, you might try resetting the video bar back a little and proceeding from that point on.
Finally, as an alternative to the foregoing, if you do encounter technical difficulties when starting to view the video and if you have the time, start the video, turn the sound off, minimize the web page, and, then, go about your business giving the streaming video sufficient time to download to your computer's browser. When you come back to this page in an hour, or so, the streaming video should be fully cached and ready to go without, God willing, any or many problems.
